This is a great read. I liked this Book. It's not just for teenagers, I am a 50 year old man and liked it. If you are looking for some in-depth review I am not going to give it. If you want Shakespeare or a life impacting event, this is not for you. If you want a Pulp-ie medieval Knight story, with acts of valor and solid friendships, then look no further. If you want to kill time until the next Bernard Cornwell book is out, then buy this book.

Good luck to you T. H. Strickland, you will only get better and I am looking forward to your next book in this soon to be popular series.

Sir Banion and the Quest of the Black Plague T H Strickland 9781500483555 Books Reviews

This book absolutely hits home with the intended demographic. My inner child was thrilled with the adventure that the main characters embark on. Strickland does a wonderful job creating the various scenarios the characters find themselves in. The descriptions of the knights' environments displays the influence of previous legendary writers that have clearly had influence on the author.

The story seems meant to spark the imaginations of high school-aged kids. In that regard, it hits the nail on the head. It's also a wonderfully refreshing take on the zombie genre. Knights vs. the undead. I'll take it.
This book was one of the few books that I found was actually hard to put down. Instead of dreading reading everyday like I typically do with most other books, I really looked forward to reading this book on a daily basis. Everyday I would find myself reading for longer and longer periods of time, getting caught up in the struggles of Banion and his squad. It had me captured from beginning to end, wondering what was going to happen at the next village. I think the reason that this book interested me so much was the overall theme. Ever since I was little I had always enjoyed medieval tales. Whether it was video games, books, or movies I would always be entertained. I’m sure all the smashing of zombies heads via Sean’s war hammer played a larger role in my enjoyment of the book than I am willing to admit. The sticky situations that Banion’s wit seemed to save them from was incredible. Most of my friends would have loved to read this, as we share the common interest of zombies. I am an avid fan of The Walking Dead, so I am most definitely a zombie lover. Every chapter I read reminded me of the episodes of The Walking Dead in a way. Every obstacle that Banion faced seemed to be like one of the many big decisions that Rick Grimes would need to make in the show. I would have prefered to have read this book during school instead of some of the other books that put me to sleep. If we had read this book in class, perhaps we could have learned about how to build a more complicated plot than our normal mediocre stories of Nicholas Cage. I am hoping that there will be a sequel to this book coming soon. This was actually one of my favorite books that I’ve read since my days of reading of the first few Harry Potter books. I would most certainly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for an intense, action packed book that makes you want to keep reading. If you are a fan of both medieval tales of knights and kings, as well as bloodthirsty zombies, Sir Banion and the Quest of the Black Plague is the perfect book for you.
Great book!
I love it!
This book was so much fun to read! It was always in my hand and it kept pulling me. Each chapter was more exciting then the first! When can I see this on the big screen?? Because this NEEDS to be a MOVIE!!!
This was the best zombie book that I have ever read and one of my top 5 books ever. If you love Mideaval times and the zombie apocalypse you will love this tale of the three young Knights Banion,Edward, and Sean as they fight against the undead plague in their homeland of Ireland.
As the first book that T.H. Strickland wrote, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was. Not only was it centered around my two favorite genres (chivalry/knighthood and zombies) but you gain an emotional connection to the characters from the very beginning and feel their happiness and their sorrow as you read it. I can barely wait for the next one and what it will bring.
